The Reverse Transcriptase Activity Assay Kit complies with the reverse transcriptase activity testing method specified in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Using MS2 phage RNA as a template, it detects specific amplification signals via real-time quantitative fluorescent PCR following reverse transcription, thereby quantifying reverse transcriptase activity in test samples.The kit is suitable for testing animal cell substrates used in the production of human biological products and for assaying animal cells. Cells testing positive for reverse transcriptase activity should undergo further confirmation to determine whether infectious retroviruses are present.
